Según Oficio No. 5002PDCIA/JID/20 de fecha 12 de agosto del 2020, la Junta Interamericana de Defensa informó al Señor Ministerio de la Defensa Nacional de Guatemala, que la solicitud realizada por el Ejército de Guatemala en formar parte del Programa de Ciberdefensa de la JID, fue aprobada.
